Opus is a living female sculpture that we display on a pedestal. With it we offer the opportunity to reflect on how we look at femininity and beauty. Can a living sculpture remain a free entity before the discourse of our gaze? Can our view continue to be ethical? Faced with these questions, the exhibited Opus looks at us.
La Taimada, co-directed by Olga Álvarez and Jordi Cabestany, works on the body and movement around the concept of beauty and human fragility. They are currently finishing the trilogy inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights by Jheronimus Bosch. El Jardí, a Mercat de les Flors co-production, won Dansacat Awards 2024 for Best Stage Space and Best Lighting Design.
