Synopsis

Escalante en Dansa València

In this new creation, Liñán seeks sustenance through emotion and flesh, a journey that invites us to discover the human need to relate; the rapprochement between bodies, what drives them and their consequences. A dozen artists are in charge of guiding through a choreographic landscape with the character of a copla that points to different atmospheres: desire, fantasy, provocation. The work won the Fatiguillo awards for best show and best dance group at the 2024 Seville Biennial.

Trajectory

Sprung from pure flamenco, this artist exudes purity from himself and his dance. Manuel Liñán is life, freshness and passion. After many years researching new tendencies, the dancer and choreographer leans toward tradition, reaching a point of sheer geniality and simplicity, as he becomes a trend setter in flamenco vanguard dancing.
