I am the underground vibration of a folklore that runs through our mestizo identity. I don’t let my ideology question anything. Millennial sounds and sounds that are yet to be heard. I do not understand the transmission of tradition without evolution. This is not a work of archeology or a museum rescue of traditions, it is a free, joyful and beautiful song of what tradition means to me. That’s why I’m going to move the mountains. That’s why I’m going to dance.
An indispensable creator on the Spanish stage, Alberto Velasco has worked with Marta Carrasco, Chevi Muraday, Jerome Bel, Hiroko Tanahashi, Carlota Ferrer, Manuel Liñán…As director and stage creator his productions have been seen all over the world: Vaca!, La inopia, Hunting scenes, Danzad damnados (Max Award for Best New Editing 2015), Dance to death at the Grec 2017 festival, When everything changes and his latest creation, Sweet dreams, Godoff Award for Best Show.
