Ecoica unfolds through movement, voice and live music, investigating the relationships between the raw desire to move and the patterns that come from a common imagination. It is born from the need to dismantle certain logics imprinted on the body of the creator to destabilize the relationships between voice and gesture, thought and action, and find the poetics of echo, dissonance and interruption. It is an invitation to temporary disconnection through discontinuity, mutation and fantasy.
Blanca Tolsá began her career as a dancer at IT Dansa. Among her most outstanding projects we find Registres Evanescents by Constanza Brncic, Flamingos by Albert Quesada, Wu Wei by Raquel Klein, for which she received the 2020 Butaca Award for best performer, or Moaré by Ariadna Monfort. In 2019 she began her research on the relationship between the body and the voice. She studies the Higher Degree in Choreography at the Institut del Teatre.
