Calidoscòpica is a theatrical, performance, musical and dance project that stages the encounter of two women, Sònia Gómez and Encarni Espallargas. A hybrid piece that investigates mental health and normality. The scene constructs a story with intertwined axes that invite us to imagine what life would be like from a point of view distorted by schizophrenia in order to show first-hand the potential of mental disorders.
Sònia Gómez is a dancer, performer and choreographer. She studied contemporary dance and choreography at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and at P.A.R.T.S, Brussels. Since 2004 she has been developing projects that focus on identity, but also on the discovery of certain social impostures through art, and the impostures of art through the body and performance. She has shown her work in Spain, Europe, the United States, Brazil, China, Colombia, Chile, the Czech Republic and Canada.
