A BEGINNING_expanded version is a piece for ten performers that explores the relationship between voice, light, and movement. Positioned halfway between musical composition and choreographic writing, we propose a scenic piece in which live singing and lights manipulated by the performers themselves are central to the construction of a dramaturgical narrative about the (re)beginning of the world.
We are two composers who work with the body. Our work is based on the relationship between voice, movement, and theatrical device. We approach choreography from an acoustic dimension and treat musical composition with a choreographic mindset. Our work is interdisciplinary, but it is within choreography where it finds its sense and dramaturgical structure, allowing us to explore processes of meaning creation, such as individual and collective identity.
