This show presents a hybrid dance in which the body, light and the live music of Josep Tutusaus performed live dialogue and put organic and technological matter into friction to build a sensory landscape and sound architecture. The body vibrates, resonates and becomes a pulsation. An ancient and future memory of gestures that contain ‘picar’, which, by persevering over time, is the starting point to enter new physical and temporal dimensions.
Aina Alegre dancer, performer and choreographer is interested in choreographic creation as a field to “re-imagine” the body. She explores different cultures and body practices, understood as social, historical and anthropological representations.
Science fiction as a genre and cultural practice also feeds his work. She thinks about the body in fictional environments and works around notions such as hybridization, the plasticity of movement, the state of presence and the experience of time in order to generate corpora of images, ideas, concepts.
In this way, she articulates choreographic objects constructed from different media: pieces for the stage, performances, videos.
After a multidisciplinary training combining dance, theater and music in Barcelona, Aina Alegre joined the CNDC of Angers in 2007.
In 2011 she creates the performance La maja desnuda dice, this proposal leads to the creation of the piece No se trata de un desnudo mitologico (2012). Then she creates Delices (2015), Le jour de la bete (2017), and La nuit nos autres (2019). In 2020 she creates the piece Concrerto in collaboration with David Wampach and the solo R-A-U-X-A. Parallel to the stage projects, she sets up the research and performance project ETUDES with which she meets people and territories around the practices and dances related to hammering and striking.
Her work has been presented in different countries such as Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Peru and Romania.
Since January 2023, Aina Alegre is the director of the Grenoble Choreographic Center, in tandem with the performer, Yannick Hugron.
