The phrase that gives the proposal its title has been heard many times by its creators when they say that they dedicate themselves to dance. These words are the starting point of a guided and participatory action with which they question their meaning and with which they ask themselves: why if you love to dance don’t you dance? And what is dancing well or dancing badly? Activity intended for people from 0 to 99 years old.
Andrea Dolz Bordeos and Marta Sofía Gallego make up Dánzate with the aim of opening the discipline of dance to the diversity of bodies and voices traditionally forgotten by it, to nourish it and make it more egalitarian. ”I love dancing, but I’m terrible at it” is a project that follows this philosophy, a way of understanding dance that they consider more open and democratic.
