Dansa València, as a promoter of the Valencian professional sector, hosts in a showcase format the latest pieces by five local creators who have been selected by a commission of experts. The sample is for the programmers of the Circuit Cultural Valencià and other agents with the intention of increasing the presence of dance in local programming.

Katherine Macbeth
An adaptation, authored by a woman, of the character of Lady Macbeth. A current vision in which a known longing is shown: her desire. A desire that moves and paralyzes, recreating a new intertwined path of freedom and hope. The piece also explores the importance of deep listening to one’s being and the resolution of one’s own conflicts and those of the environment.

The piece tells us about the vulnerability of human beings to the profound challenge of not understanding. Guilt, the search for forgiveness, faith, repentance and human conscience occupy a body that longs for understanding. A body that surrenders and surrenders, transforms, empowers itself and opens its gaze to the Now.

Minimal is a dance proposal that challenges the conventions of flamenco. This piece is not only a celebration of dance, but also a call to reflection: Can creative freedom coexist with the purity of flamenco? Who defines what is “pure”?

Aquí, en cambio suggest different ephemeral brushstrokes, which are diluted in space. It is a plastic game that crosses the body and makes it move as if it were a blank canvas.
