Escalante en Dansa València
A scenic proposal that aims to generate empathy, fantasy, dialogue and communication, within a fantastic Martian universe. We build an unknown place filled with volumes, circles and spheres. Beings from another planet come to this world to interact and play with terrestrials. A surreal work with plastic and pictorial magic was created thanks to objects, dance, the relationship with technology and the public’s participation.
Baal was born in 2013 by Catalina Carrasco, a dancer and creator, alongside Gaspar Morey, a technologist. That same year, they earned the international CENIT award with their first creation Travelling to Nowhere. Following creations are: Crotch, MiraMiró, Ginoide, Superfrau, Cromatic, and A&S Space Travellers. They draw inspiration from their environment and reflect about it. Dance as their core element blends with other forms of expression, having a strong ally in technology.
